City of Waco

We live here, we work here, and we care about how this city shows up in the world. These are some of the projects we've gotten to be part of with the City of Waco.

Waco Regional Airport
The Brief
Waco Regional Airport was in the middle of a major renovation and relaunch. It needed a logo and visual identity to match where it was headed, something that felt like a real departure from what travelers had known before.

Our Approach
We built a full visual identity system that carried from the logo through wayfinding and signage. The terminal itself became part of the relaunch, so travelers got a consistent look from check-in to the gate.
Destination Waco
The Brief
The City of Waco has used a flying W logo for decades. It carries real weight for people who work for the city or grew up seeing it, but to a visitor, it reads more like a government seal than an invitation. The city needed a separate visitor brand with energy and warmth built to pull outsiders in.

Our Approach
We created Destination Waco as its own brand, distinct from the city's civic identity. We used it to launch the city's newly built visitor center, giving the space a look built around bringing people in rather than marking government territory. The brand now shows up everywhere from the visitor center to city marketing aimed at tourists.
Waco-McLennan Public Health
The Brief
Waco-McLennan County Public Health operates independently from the city. It needed a visual identity of its own, one that could show up on everything from vehicles to official paperwork.

Our Approach
We designed a colorful, approachable but still professional visual identity system for the department. It had to hold up across a huge range of applications: cars, billboards, signage, print materials, and internal documents. The system stayed consistent across all of it, so the department reads as one organization no matter where you encounter it.
Pet Circle
The Brief
When the City of Waco took over operations of this animal shelter, it needed a brand that felt like its own organization. It couldn't come across as just another city department.

Our Approach
We built a visual identity for Pet Circle that gave the shelter a distinct public face. The brand was designed to help the shelter connect with the community and support adoptions rather than blend into the pre-existing city visuals. It gives Pet Circle a personality that's easy for people to root for.
City Utility Boxes
The Brief
The city wanted more people using its Explore Waco app, which highlights things to do around town. It needed a way to get the app in front of both locals and visitors without a big media buy.

Our Approach
We designed vinyl wraps for utility boxes across the city, turning ordinary street infrastructure into small ads for things to do in Waco. It's a low-cost way to reach people already walking or driving through downtown. The wraps double as a bit of public art while doing the work of promotion.
