Who We Are
Sidekick Creative Agency is a team of creatives who work alongside businesses to make them look as good as they actually are. We partner with our clients through monthly subscriptions, brand strategy workshops, and one-time projects to bring out the best in what they're already doing. Our team values open communication, honesty, and a deep commitment to meeting our clients where they are. We believe the best creative work comes from real relationships, and that's how we approach every engagement.

Our name is pretty literal - we prop up businesses to be the hero. We function as the Sidekick that makes them look good. There are so many businesses that are great at what they do but are lost in the areas of content and branding. Hey, you can't be good at everything! We love to step in and take care of that for the overwhelmed business owner or marketing manager. We want businesses to put their best foot forward and feel great about their brand.

Our Roots
Sidekick Creative Agency was formed in 2017 by Mark Waldrop and Jeremy “The Bwack” Bush. Prior to creating Sidekick, Mark and Bwack were professional musicians. Their band managed its own audio engineering, video, animation, merch design, branding, and social media management. While on the road, they visited major cities and were exposed to the highest level of content and branding. They’d return home from tour to lackluster content and branding here in Waco. When they transitioned out of the music industry, they decided to do for others what they’d been doing for themselves as a band and Sidekick was born. Its mission? “To make Waco cooler.” Sidekick has continued to grow in its clientele and capabilities since this time. In May 2020, Sidekick moved to its Columbus Avenue location with the goal of having a more purposeful creative space and becoming more visible to the community.

Senior Designer
Colton is a Senior Designer for Sidekick Agency. Born and raised (figuratively) in the cornfields of Illinois, he found his way to Waco to attend Baylor University. After graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation, he moved to Austin to work for MultiTracks.com as a Graphic Designer and UI/UX Designer before realizing Waco is truly home. In his spare time, Colton loves to hang with friends, travel the US, play all the sports and be active outdoors. Oh, and feel free to hit him up with your top 3 taco recommendations.
John Bearrie
John Bearrie
Content Specialist
John is a Content Specialist for Sidekick Agency. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Visualization and went on to work at his former high school, Grace Prep, as the lead videographer and photographer for two years. When he’s not designing, you’ll probably find him cooking fancy meals, hosting friends, mixing drinks, or—fair warning—bringing up that one time he lived in Italy for four months (yes, he knows he talks about it too much).

Designer
Hannah is a Designer for Sidekick Agency. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Visualization. Hannah spends her free time traveling (her favorite destinations so far are Barcelona and Edinburgh) and hanging out with friends. You can find her at home crocheting or bundled up with a good book when she's not out and about. Her most recent obsession is her mini countertop hydroponic garden, so if you ever need some fresh baby bok choy or dwarf kale, you know who to ask.
Jeremy "The Bwack" Bush
Jeremy "The Bwack" Bush
Senior Content Specialist, Partner
Jeremy “Bwack” Bush is a Partner and the Senior Content Specialist for Sidekick Agency. After attending Baylor, Jeremy spent 20 years as a member of both The David Crowder*Band and The Digital Age, earning Grammy Noms, Dove Awards, and Platinum Singles. During that season, he played drums, built robots, and produced records at his studio, Asterisk Sound in downtown Waco. A classic Enneagram 5, Jeremy loves researching, solving technical problems, Reddit, and making sure we have enough server space for the team's vast collection of RAW footage.

Rebecca is the COO & Creative Director for Sidekick Agency. Prior to being at Sidekick, she owned her own freelance company and worked at Harris Creek Baptist Church for 11 years as the Worship & Communication Pastor doing creative and music work. Rebecca graduated from Baylor University in 2013 with her Bachelor of Fine Art in Graphic Design. In her free time, Rebecca loves competing in Ironman races, traveling around the world, playing music. One of her absolute favorite things is enjoying a really great meal around a table with fe

Aron is the Senior Web Developer at Sidekick. He has a degree in software engineering from Arizona State University. Aron is the self-proclaimed coffee guru of Sidekick, and his hobbies include making music, spending time with his wife, daughter, and cat, and standing comfortably alone in the corner at parties.
Chelsea Waldrop

HR Director, Partner
Chelsea Waldrop is a Texas native and grew up in the hill country. After graduating from Baylor in 2010, she jumped into the local non-profit scene before returning to Baylor to manage its On-Campus Internship Program. Chelsea joined Sidekick in 2018 as the HR Director. She oversees client needs, internal HR, and internal and external copywriting. Our resident Enneagram 1 dabbles in interior design, serves as a Certified Lactation Counselor, and chases after the two little munchkins she shares with our CEO, Mark. Her favorite activity is spamming the Sidekick text thread with her latest favorite recipe.

Mark Waldrop is a Partner and CEO for Sidekick Agency. Originally from Tyler, TX, Mark attended Baylor University and ultimately found his way into playing guitar with Grammy-nominated David Crowder*Band. After a decade of touring, he realized Wacotown was home and thus Sidekick was born! Mark is an Enneagram 9 and enjoys long walks on the beach, reading nerdy fantasy novels on the beach, and margaritas on the beach.

Project Manager
Kallista is the Project Manager at Sidekick Agency. Raised in Oklahoma, Kallista came to Waco to get her BBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship at Baylor University. After graduating in May of 2023, Kallista decided to call Waco home because she couldn't live without sunsets on the Brazos. If she isn't in the office managing projects, Kallista is probably on the pickleball court with her friends, fishing with her dad, thrifting for sweatshirts, or stocking her fridge with Cherry Cola Olipops.
